Prevention Advisor Level II (H/F/X)
Description
Our client, an industrial player operating in a regulated environment and part of an international group, is looking for a Prevention Advisor to strengthen its health, safety and environmental approach at its Belgian site. Reporting to the HSE Manager, you advise the employer to ensure compliance with Belgian legislation and internal standards. Present on the shop floor every day, you identify risks, carry out risk assessments and recommend appropriate prevention measures. You draft and update the global prevention plan and the annual action plan, and play an active role in the Committee for Prevention and Protection at Work (CPPT). You organise and deliver safety training for new joiners and existing staff, prepare and follow up work permits, including for high-risk tasks, and monitor statutory inspections. You take part in accident investigations, maintain the accident and incident register, and support internal and external audits. You work closely with the occupational physician, the external prevention service, authorities and contractors. You also handle regulatory monitoring and actively contribute to building a strong safety culture on site. This role is carried out with full independence and direct access to senior management, in line with Belgian legislation.
Profile sought
- Prevention Advisor certificate, Level II minimum
- Solid knowledge of Belgian and regional health, safety and environmental legislation
- Proven experience in risk assessments and safety observations
- Experience in a regulated industrial environment is an asset
- Fluent French and good command of English
- Analytical mindset, autonomy and ease working in multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and writing skills, comfortable leading meetings
- Proficiency in MS Office and HSE software
