Multi-skilled Chemist
Description
Our client, active in the treatment and recovery of industrial waste, is looking for a multi-skilled chemist to join its operations team. Reporting to the operations manager and deputy, you will analyze incoming samples, define treatment pathways, and ensure the quality and compliance of received waste. You will build and monitor production campaigns and contribute to the smooth operation and profitability of the facilities. Key responsibilities: Analyze preliminary samples and verify their acceptability. Define appropriate treatment pathways. Ensure consistency between treatment prices quoted to customers and treatments actually applied. Ensure the quality and compliance of received waste. Build and monitor production campaigns. Collect and consolidate data needed for production tracking. Control work-in-progress and finished products (products, waste, wastewater). Support smooth laboratory operations: reagent orders, equipment calibration, development of measurement methods, contact with accredited laboratories. Guarantee the reliability of analytical results and compliance of wastewater discharge. Ensure compliance with operating permits and environmental legal requirements. Organize control campaigns with accredited laboratories and aim to minimize environmental impact. Enforce safety rules and contribute to reducing health risks for workers. You will be in regular contact with the operations manager, the sales department, the foreman and team leaders, production staff, as well as accredited laboratories and subcontractors (carriers, service providers).
Profile sought
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, minimum.
- Proficiency in Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of Dutch is desired; knowledge of English is a plus.
